印尼說唱歌手兼製作人Warren Hue以其不斷變化的音樂風格在眾多音樂人中脫穎而出，他將R&B、house音樂、電子樂以及工業風格融合成一份另類的嘻哈雞尾酒。從14歲開始Warren就在臥室裡創作並發佈自己的音樂，隨著日益增加的產出，Warren也漸漸累積起自己的知名度，在各平臺已獲得數百萬的流媒體資料，其中就包括他那首充滿感染力的2020年單曲“candy choppa”已斬獲超200萬的流量。東南亞本土領先的獨立音樂媒體Bandwagon稱讚Warren Hue“以他聲音的多面性和層次豐富的抒情方式讓自己脫穎而出。”

Indonesian rapper, singer, and producer Warren Hue stands out from the pack with his ever-evolving sound, establishing a truly original presence by fusing R&B, house, electronic and industrial genres into a heady cocktail of alternative hip-hop. Writing and releasing music from his bedroom since the age of 14, the 18-year-old is becoming as popular as he is prolific, racking up millions of streams on Spotify, including over 2 million for his infectiously fun single “candy choppa.” Bandwagon, Southeast Asia’s leading indie music media company, recently praised Hue for “setting himself apart…with his sonic versatility and complex lyrical approach.”
An only child, Warren Hue grew up listening to his parents’ rock and punk – Guns N’ Roses, Blink-182, Green Day, Oasis – sparking his own love of music. At eleven, while attending the International School in Jakarta, he began creating video skits and short films on YouTube. In 2011, Warren heard Eminem’s “Till I Collapse” and instantly fell in love with rap and its rhyme schemes, soon cruising the net to discover others like Kanye West, Earl Sweatshirt, and Tyler, the Creator.
In 2019, Warren released his first full-length album SUGARTOWN, which focuses on subjects both personal and universal. Bandwagon wrote that the nine-track album takes listeners “through a whirlwind of vibes and emotions…from upbeat tracks that make you want to dance in your room to heartfelt verses that remind you of a past relationship.” A collaboration with Korean producer Chasu, SUGARTOWN is a metaphor for Jakarta, where life can be sweet yet also artificial. Its musical fusion runs the gamut from the slinky “sugar baby” to the upbeat pop of “head over heels” to the electric piano pulse of “candy choppa.”
In December 2020 Hue linked with 88rising to perform at the virtual Double Happiness Winter Wonder Festival alongside such notable Asian artists as NxWorries (Anderson .Paak x Knxwledge), CHUNG HA, Ardhito Pramono, and ATEEZ.
Hue increasingly divides his time between Indonesia and America. His creative interests span painting, drawing and architecture, along with a passion for fashion. Jakarta’s music scene has changed notably over the last five years, and Warren Hue is excited to hear and work with local artists, while inspiring listeners with his own journey. Overcoming challenges, he says, “I just want to show that any artist from anywhere can do anything."
